Hi, Friends.
I've been hiding out a bit, I admit it. I'm off the road for a heavenly little while and I'm enjoying a hermetic life in my home. Ron is back on tour with High School Musical, currently in Washington, D.C. It isn't too far, only about a four hour drive, so he comes home on his day off. What a treat to see the familiar trees outside my window, to walk the dogs through streets they know, to catch up with neighbors and Joe, our dog-loving postman.
The best part, though is that I've been able to rejoin my writer's group which meets every Thursday night. I've been making progress on the book and it feels wonderful. Maybe I will share an excerpt here sometime. If I'm blogging less frequently, it is because I'm spending my computer time typing away on the book. But, I love connecting with all of you, so please keep stopping by and leaving comments. It warms my heart to read them.
Tell me, are you feelin' the Love this Valentine's Day? The kind of capital L Love I'm talking about does not require a significant other. Are you able to look in the mirror and smile? Can you offer love to the eyes looking back at you? That's where I'd like us to focus our attention this year. I find it easier to feel good about that girl in the mirror when I'm being creative, and finding time for myself. What are your creative pursuits? What makes your heart sing? And what can you do today so that when you brush your teeth tonight, you can look at that gorgeous one in the mirror and fall madly in love? Give it some thought and let us know.
With LOVE from my heart to yours,
Sandi

xxo
Beautiful dogs!
So nice to see you back, and nicer still to hear that you've been working on the book.
I'm going to brush my teeth with a big grin tonight, after going to my friend's house to watch her six-year-old watch Much Ado for the first time. Mommy is a high school English teacher with the most wonderful infectious Shakespeare love in the world, and Girl is going to grow up knowing and understanding and loving it instead of getting to high school and having it shoved at her as something to be afraid of. Can't wait to share one of her mom's and my favorites with her!
(Thursday is hubby's gaming night, so we'll be having our V-Day celebration on a different date!)
Enjoy brushing your teeth and being gorgeous tonight, lady! You've earned it! :-)
Welcome back Sistah !
Just got finished brushing my teeth and admiring the crap out of myself in the mirror. Thanks for the outlook.
Am glad your taking some quality time for yourself... I need to do the same...
hugs to you sis !
(p.s... sent you an interesting Valentines email)
sincerely,
Clint
So happy to hear from you!
I think I'm going to continue in my "life sucks" mood for a little while longer, then eventually I'll try to share in the Love.
Sounds like you've found it :) I'm proud of you!
Hi Sandra~
Hey--if I looked like you--I'd be smiling when I look in the mirror too--but yes, love is in the air--imagine--we are celebrating an important wedding anniversary today--and I feel the love when I look at our 3 daughters--and oh soooo much when I'm with them and our 10 beautiful grand children. They are what makes my world go around.
You are a beautiful writer--and I am so looking forward to your book.
As the old addage goes--*There's No Place Like Home*--glad you are enjoying being there.
Hello, Sandra.
...I'm sorry, my english is terrible
YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE!
I've always loved the music (classical, opera, pop) but, until 2003, I Know nothing of musical (I know obscurely Phantom and Cats, i don't know Les Miz!).
Some Years ago (I think 2003), I've seen by chance a Internet photo of a beautiful, smiling woman.
From this photo, I began my journey in the musical world.
I've discovered wonderful artists: Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, Schonberg, Elaine Paige, Michael Crawford, Lea Salonga, Anthony Warlow... but my first love is still this beautiful, smiling Angel of Music.
Today, I'm keen on musical Theatre and a good baritone and actor (Last year I was a cast member of Doninzetti's L' Elisir d' amore and Puck in a local production of A Midsummer Night Dream, this year I was a leading performer in a Gershwin concert and, next summer, I played in other two theatre works, included a little musical.
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
P.S. I hope my english is understandable
Call me a party pooper (and a late one at that), but I'm not much of a valentine's day kind of girl. Happy Valentine's day nonetheless. :) I'm completely ecstatic to hear that you're working so hard on your book! :) I can't wait to read what more you have to say to everyone, you can be sure I'll be listening (/reading) intently!
I want to quickly say thanks again for the reply to my ludicrously long e-mail, I still keep it with me. :) All the best, and hope to hear from you soon- Kearyn
