So, how was your Thanksgiving? What were you feelin' thankful for? I am happy to report that my dinner was not disastrous. I did run into some unexpected family turbulence, but hey, that's what holidays are for, right? All in all, it was a wonderful week in Michigan with the fam.
Ron, Griffin, Murphy, and I are now freezing our tails off in Appleton, Wisconsin. I fell off the health kick wagon BIG TIME over the holiday weekend and am only now starting to find my way back. I went without the green juice for several days (for those of you who are new to this blog, I'm traveling with a juicer and making kale and cucumber cocktails every morning) and I missed it terribly! I felt a cold coming on today so I high-tailed it to the produce department. Once I downed a big ol' glass o' green, I felt like a wilted plant coming back to life. Y'all gotta try the juicing thing, really. It's pretty amazing.
Getting back to Thanksgiving, I really would love for you to share what you're thankful for. There's power in writing and sharing what is positive in your life. So, let me state a few of my top gratitudes for the record:
I'm grateful that Ron walked the dogs this morning (it was 17 degrees )while I stayed under the covers.
I'm grateful that after an embarrassing ten minutes in the grocery store checkout line, we figured out the problem with my debit card and I was able to pay for my veggies.
I'm grateful that I get to connect with caring souls through this blog and other online mediums.
I'm grateful that Oprah is going to be talking to Sarah Ban Breathnach (author of one of my all time favoirte books "Simple Abundance" on XM Satellite Radio in a few minutes.
I'd better go tune in! They are talking about gratitude! Now, quick- tell me what you're grateful for.
Love and Thanks-
Sandra

I can say that, without a doubt, I'm more thankful this year than any other...
I am thankful that on September 12, my wife gave birth to a healthy, wonderful daughter. I thank God for her every day, especially when she flashes a beautiful smile as I walk in the room.
I am thankful for my wife, and although I don't get to see her that much (she is a second-year OB/GYN resident), her work ethic is an inspiration to me.
I am thankful that we are able to afford me being a stay-at-home dad. Spending time with my daughter is something I wouldn't trade for anything in the world!
I am thankful that Henry David Thoreau published Walden back in 1854. That book changed my life.
There is so much more, but I'll stop here!

Unfortunately we don't have thanksgiving here, but nonetheless i always try to spend a moment thinking about what there is in this world that i am thankful for.
Right now i'm thankful for my family who have done so much for me these past few months, especially through the transition from school to college, the new friends i have made and the old friends i keep in close contact with. I am thankful for the new opportunites that lie on the horizon, and of course the cat who sits outside our house, so peaceful and content- reminding me of the beautiful, innocent creatures God decended upon the planet...

I'm grateful for the health of myself and my family and friends. I'm also grateful to be able to have gone to New York City for the first time, experince seeeing a Broadway musical (Mary Poppins) on Broadway instead of a touring production, absorbing the excitement that is New York City.
The number one thing I've been thankful for (regardless of later arguments) has always been my family.
No matter what.
I realised that more than ever today. My mom is pregnant, but this morning I woke up to the news that she might be miscarrying. I can't tell you how badly I want this little sibling anymore Sandra. I don't even care if it's a boy or a girl anymore, I just want the baby to be healthy. So what am I thankful for? Family.
